In On The Hill

Boy was it nice coming home for Christmas!! It was so great seeing everyone.. and that sealing thing was pretty cool too!! We had a great holiday and spent our anniversary at the Inn on the Hill in Salt Lake. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! It was two blocks from the capital building and over looked the city. WHen you come into the inn, (we are stupid and didn't take any pictures) there is a pool table and two sitting/reading rooms with fires lit in the fireplaces. Sean and I sat and read/cross stitched for an hour there, it was lovely. Our room had a king sized bed and the bathroom was gorgeous. We left for dinner at the Old Spagetti Factory and when we got back our room was filled with lit candles, romantic music playing and candles lining the jacuzzi tub. THere was also a gift basket with body lotion and foot cream and bath oils. If that wasn't good enough we got breakfast delivered to our room and we had breakfast in bed!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, and happy training

We are so excited for Christmas mas and to see everyone. I am also excited because we have a beautiful house to decorate for Christmas. This year are big Christmas decoration is our train. Sean rigged up our train to go around the tree and then up a platform, through a tunnel and through our village. this is going to be our Christmas tradition, each year we will get either a train car or village house.

sean and rachelle's sealing

Thought I would post the details so hopefully everyone knows. We are getting sealed Friday the 28th at the Salt Lake temple. Our sealing ceremony is at 5pm. Sean and I would like to invite anyone who can to join us for a session at 3pm. After the sealing Mom has reserved a room at.... crap I forgot its name, but its like 15 minutes from the temple.... but its a big banquit room. They have a pizza buffett that includes Pizza, salad, breadsticks, a drink all for $8 a person (I don't know what the cost is for kids.) So we would like everyone to come hang out with us there to. I will have mom post the address and directions to the pizza place. Any questions let me know. Oh yeah, and mom wants to see if everyone wants to get together for breakfast saturday morning for dad's birthday.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! (a week ago)

So I have to report the great news. Sean and I finally caved and now hae internet at home!!! YEA!!! (Actually, I feel like I don't know what to do with it, its been so long.........) Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving All!. Seanand I had a great holiday weekend. We were invited to a friends house for dinner. The Snideman's, they are in our ward. We brought mashed potatos and gravy and DR PEPPER CAKE!!! YUM!!! Anyway, it was alot of fun. After dinner we played nintendo with Paul and Joni Moore until one in the morning and crashed on their floor. At 3:30 we got up and headed to circuit city. Actually, Joni and I went to Kohls because it was already open, we decideded the line inside to pay was too long to actually care about looking. The good stuff was at circuit city and that opened at 5. So we met up with the men and the store was packed. Afterwards we went to our house and sean cooked his famous hashbrowns and then headed to bed. We slept till 12:30pm!! NICE!!! The rest of the day we hung out, bought a train and setup for christmas. I can't believe that it is almost DECEMBER!!!

P.S. Satan doesn't want you to go to the temple

So as many of you know Mom and Dad came to Texas a couple weeks ago and I went through the temple and took out my endowments. It was great. Monday Mom and Dad were here in College Station and that night we all headed to their Condo which was about an hours drive. Dad and Mom left about 30 mintues before us. So as Sean and I are driving, about half way there we notice the car is shaking and think we might have a flat tire so we get off at the next exit and pull up to a gas station. Sure enough the tire is flat, but thier air machine is broken. We drive across the street and the gas station has working air....but we don't have any quarters and their lobby is closed. So we ask a trucker who's parked and he doesn't have quarters so we drive back an exit and the gas stations air is broken so we go to the fourth gas station, get change but their air thing is really really sucky and barely filled the tire. So we got more change drove back to the other working air gas station and realize that the tire is bulging on the sides REALLY bad. We weren't going anywhere on this tire. So we go to change it only Sean has special rims that have an odd shaped bolt. The special toop that SHOULD be in seans trunk was actually in our garage. So at this point I'm not happy but we call our good friend and home teacher that lives around the corner from us (keep in mind it 11:30pm) and he goes to our house, gets the tool, and drive 30 minutes to bring it to us. (you'd think that the rainbow is going to come out and the flowers are all going to break into song, but no, the trama contintues..)

We get the bad tire off and pull out the spear which is an actual tire luckily that sean used to have on the car before he got new rims and tires. But wait, it doesn't fit. Yes thats right the spare tire does not fit. We figure that the tire is in fact from his SISTERS old car that was stacked next to sean's old tires back 5 years ago in his moms garage. (he's been drivin with this tire in his trunk for 5 or 6 years!!!) so finally we load all our stuff into our friends car and drive back to college station. So tueday morning, i was planning on having this nice relaxing morning in conroe and instread I'm sleep deprived, run around getting a tire for seans car (which firestone out here doesn't carry his rim at all HA HA) and made it to conroe at 12:10 which gave me 15 minutes to make it out the door so we could eat lunch, by me garments at the distribution center and make it on time to my appointment.

WHAT A DAY........though the rest of the day was WAY BETTER!

how 25 year olds celebrate halloween

Well, we had some friends over for Halloween and had a blast. I made the food, pigs in a blanket that look like spiders with spider web dipping sauce and sandwich snakes, it was a lot of fun. We also carved pumpkins. Sean carved a crazy scientist (that i drew for him) and our friends made a crazy face and the other couple made a bart Simpson. It was fun. Then my darling husband decides it would be fun to flame the pumpkins. So he got out his drill and put holes in the bart pumpkin to make it look like flames coming out his ears. Sean took a candle and put it in the pumpkin and then sprayed wd-40 into the flame. It was hilarious (and so dangerous, kids, don't try this at home!) We then did it with his scientist dude. I don't have the pictures of the flames here with me but i will put them up. If you want to see a video of it, you can look on our friends blog at www.paulandjoniblog.blogspot.com. its pretty awesome!!!

Best Way to Get out of Ever Moving The LAWN!!

Ladies, I found the best sure fire way to get out of ever having my husband ask me to mow the lawn. BREAK THE LAWN MOWER!!! That's right, i broke the lawn mower. So last saturday Sean had a test and has been working really hard for a presentation he had monday so he asked me to mow the lawn. I agreed, went outside, started mowing and about 20 minutes later I was rounding a corner by the fense and had to pull back on the mower (it also has som crazy forward force that I was trying to get used to ) and then it happened. I hit a stump. Our yard has about 12 stumps in the ground and I hit one of them. Not only did I seriously bend the blade, but I bent the coil bar thing (that the blade is attached to) Sean took it in today to be fixed and they have to replace the whole motor. $200 smackeroos. Good thing our mower isn't like 3 months old.... oh wait, it is. Well, atleast Sean will think twice about asking me to mow!

OUR HOUSE IS A VERY VERY CUTE HOUSE

Here is the virtual tour of our house. First picture is the outside, and thats me standing in the doorway. through the door you enter the living room. Here's two angled shots. To the left is our wonderfully large kitchen!! YEA!!!! To the right of the livingroom is a hall that branches to our guest bedroom, den, and guest bathroom. FINALLY, our lovely bedroom with getto bathroom. Well there it is in a nutshell.

Sorry No Pictures, i'm blogging at Work

I'm at work right now so I don't have access to my camera. Darn. Anyway, life in Texas is going great. We've had a really rainy summer so the humidity has not been that bad at all!! I have really enjoyed this!!

KING OF THE FEEDER

We think there must be something wrong with the water here in Texas because the animals sure seem to act strange. Luckily for us we filter our water so there hasn't been anything strange about the two of us (well i mean out of the ordinary.)So let me tell you about the humming birds. About two months ago I convinced Sean to let me buy a hummingbird feeder. Since then, we've seen maybe a couple of hummingbirds. The feeder was close to our kitchen window so Sunday i decided to move it out into the yard a little bit. Later that day, we saw a couple hummingbirds.
