Sunday after the last session of confrence, sean and I had some friends over for a arbeque. It was lots of fun. While the burgers were cooking, the guys (and becca) played boci ball around the yard. I was inside setting everythiing else and chatting with the rest of the girls who also stayed inside. It was great. We had burgers and hotdaogs, and I made baked beans. I was actually really worried about the beans because I didn't have a recipe and mom didn't have a recipe and every cook book i looked at had weird recipes so i winged it. It made it sort of like moms bean and hot dogs but added a really good barbeque sauce and it turned out great!! everyone loved it. We ate inside, getting alittle hot to be outside long, and then he hung out, talked and played ladder ball. Sean made us a set, i will take pictures later and post them cuase its a fun game and I painted all the balls real cool.  All in all it was a great Sunday afternoon!!

So here in Texas it is rainy season, aparently. So a few weeks ago I spent an entire day outside tearing out a big annoying ground cover vine thing and planting some flowers in front of the house. There were two different kinds of flowers and they were maroon and white (go aggies!!). I was so excited for them to bloom because they were quite different looking. Well, the next week it rained, and I realized that my little flower bed holds water really well. So well that some of the flowers were under 2 inches of water. Well, it dried and we figured they would be ok. Then the next week it rained AGAIN!!! Since that time, I figure all but 6 of the flowers were dead. I planted like 15. but we have some buds we are going to plant instead. We today, it rained again!! so i'm pretty sure they will not survive!!! We are going to be buying dirt to fil it out but haven't had time yet. Well, I guess i will have to settle for just having a pretty wandering jew. (for those of you who think i'm some sort of weird raciest, check out my last blog, its a plant!!)

Today we spent another day working in the yard. Let me say, its hard work!! The first two  pictures are of Sean working on the stump. He decieded to try and burn it out so this is him pouring karocine on it. Next he pile brickets on it and it will burn for like 5 hours. We are babysitting our friends dog while they are on the cruiseship. She enjoyed runing around the yard while we were working. I was working on tearing up the vine bush in the backyard pcitures in picture three and the next two pictures are of Dilly helping me dig it out. she went crazy in the dirt. All in all it was a productive day!!! The last two pictures are of our new hanging plant. It is so COOL!! Its called a "bolivian wandering jew". (I did not name it, thats really what its called.) The under part of the leaf is a deep purple. I'm excited for it to grow even longer!!

Thursday night was the A and M Vs BYU basketball game. We went over the the Moore's house to watch. I was having a very hard time deciding who I was going to vote for. Earlier that day I heard on the radio that the last time these two teams played each other was back in 73' and BYU won by 2. So this is like a one in a lifetime game. Above is a picture of the cake that Sean made for our little get together. Sean being an Avid U of U fan had no trouble rooting against BYU. In the end I was kinda sad that BYU lost, alot of people out here don't give schools outside of the big confrences any credit so seewing BYU win would have been cool. All in all, we had a lot of fun watching the game.

I got frustrated with my hair not growing fast enough, so to punish it I chopped it off. This is a picture I took using my cell phone so its not the best but this is me sitting at my desk at work. I tried getting the back but it didn;'t work. The back is A lined (for you boys that means its shorter then the front,) I Love it and Sean thinks its sexy :)

Sean and I LOVE frisbee golf, and here in texas, every weekend is a great weekend to play. So far we have played four different courses here in town. The one we like the most is under construciton right now ||(well the park is building a pavillion and took it down). There is one with a water hazard, in the picture is our friend paul who's wife, joni, landed her disc in the water. They were using our discs at the time and felt bad so Paul hopped in and found the disc. This course is also a little harder then the others so when I learn to throw straight, we'll frequent this one. The courses themselves are fun, each one has issues like missing holes or hole located in the middle of a giant water puddle but we still love it!!

That's right. This morning we woke up to snow. Ok, none of it stuck to the ground, and the sun is out today so you really can't tell but still, it snowed in texas. Dallas (which is three hours north east) got 9 inches last night!!! Pretty crazy. The weather has been really crazy the last couple of weeks. One day it will get up in the seventies, then the next day it will drop to the 60's withh lots of wind. Yesturday it rained most of the day, and today it snowed but is now sunny and around 50. Apparently someone can't make up their mind!!

That's right. This morning we woke up to snow. Ok, none of it stuck to the ground, and the sun is out today so you really can't tell but still, it snowed in texas. I thought I would blog to remind you guys what we look like. This is me and sean, (I am wearing my cute pin stripe a line skirt. This is also where we live. We really like it here and its nice to be able to share pictures of us and our home with all of you!!

Sorry we haven't blogged much, every time i think about it, I don't have pictures so i don't blog. The pic attached to this one is of Dilly, our little dog. and by "our" i mean, its our friends dog who is s cute and we get to be the aunt and uncle! Its the closest thing to baby or dog as we are going to be in a long while.

Anyway, Sean and I spoke in church last week, I must say it was the hardest talk I've ever had to write. It was on the word of wisdom. Spnt two week thinking abou it, came up withnext to nothing and finished writing it like 6 am sunda morning. I was stressing ALL WEEKEND. sean says I did well but I have my reservations about it.

I do have one bit of exciting news. Today my manager pulled me aside and let me know that the boss was going to bump me up to salary (i've been on hourly) and I will be making making more than i was before. We are really excited because it will help us pay some things off and start saving.
